Hmm thanks a lot for answering, first thing, I guess it the persistent thing shouldn't be a problem, I think so because I am using the "Boot with Persistence" option on the Boot screen. Can't you really install anything on that computer, as dual boot? Why not trying to find any other Linux distro not raspberry specific to run on live usb?Īnother thing is that running on live USB is that you won't use all your computer capabilities, it will be slower on live, will need more interactions to save anything. ![]() Raspy specific OS on other machines : not very skilled on the topic as I never tried, but my guess (hours of reading only) is that you're right on the fact that the OS is written specifically for the raspberry architecture of and it might cause troubles running it on any other. If I remember right, you have first to create a "persistent folder" in the live USB os to be able to find the installed app again on reboot. Live USB : If I understood right, you run it on live USB? My understanding of that, is that you can't install things on it, not the current way just running the package installer. Not a skilled user, but there is my opinion, first trail to find your answers. Also, can't install the Linux on the computers coz it's school property. PS: I need it to run over a persistent USB, no hard drives.
